340 kW MHP/PV hydropower solar hybrid mini plant
Design and construction was carried out on an EPC basis of a 340 kW MHP/PV hydropower solar hybrid mini plant in Shemol in Dara-e-Noor district. Shemol is a beautifully located valley at an altitude of 2,000 m in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan.
The system constructed is the first PV/hydro/storage hybrid system in the world and provides electricity to 1,806 households, 7 schools, 2 hospitals, 10 shops, 10 workshops and 31 mosques.
